"As prostitution and pornography increasingly saturate our lives and our communities, they are also becoming normalized and accepted as harmless entertainment for men and as legitimate, even liberating, forms of work for women. "Not For Sale" brings the feminist movement against prostitution and pornography into the 21 century, showing how these industries cause grievous harm to those within them while undermining the possibilities for gender justice, human equality, and truly diverse and joyful sexual relationships.
The essays collected here connect feminist perspectives on the sex industry with radical critiques of racism, poverty, militarism, and unbridled corporate capitalism, and how the harms of prostitution and pornography are amplified by contemporary technologies of mass communication. Bringing together research, testimony, and theory by more than thirty writers and activists from different countries and generations, including a number of courageous industry survivors, Not For Sale is both a vital contribution to ongoing debates and a call to action and resistance."

thanks for adding me. Watching your slideshow presentation at Ladyfest really changed the way I think about and view pornography. It was a very eye-opening experience. It made me angry and emotional, and I told all of my female friends they should go see your presentation.
Hello Rebecca, My congratulations on the excellent slideshow "Who Wants to Be a Porn Star" that you assisted in creating for Stop Porn Culture. You really did an excellent job, and I'm sure that it will be a great help in getting out the word about the harms of pornography.
Hi Rebecca, Thank you so much for all of your work against pornography. Your "Not For Sale" book is extremely helpful, and I highly recommend that everyone read it. (Especially your chapter: Confronting Pornography. ;-)) The anti-porn slide show is incredibly powerful, so I hope everyone watches your presentation of it, (above), and also gets a copy to show to others. (Plus attend a training.) I also love your excellent article: "Not Your Father's Playboy, Not Your Mother's Feminist Movement." :-) (Link at bottom of "Books".) Thanks for your feedback about porn issues when we talked in Boston, and your support of my Anti-Pornography Activist Blog. (I.e. Including it in your Sept. SPC email as a "fine site." That was a heart-warming surprise. :-)) Your solidarity and sisterhood mean a great deal to me, and I wish you all the best. I will continue to do what I can to promote your critically important work. :-) **************** - 101 Things You Can Do to Combat the Harms of Pornography - Jenna Jameson's 25 Good Reasons Why No One Would Ever Want to Become a Porn Star - Anti-Porn YouTube Channel with over 200 Videos - Anti-Pornography Activist Blog :-)
