RebelinX is multi faceted soul artist who was born in the 20th century Port of Spain Trinidad. RebelinX grew up in and around Metro Toronto, has been playing music as far back to when he can remember his father giving him a saxophone. At the age of 15, he won the music awards and continued to pursue music right out of High School. On the road playing his Sax he studied in Paris, New York, Montreal, London, Spain, etc. RebelinX moved to Vancouver to continue his career.
He is a producer, director, writer, vocalist, performer and a multi-instrumentalist playing professionally a variety of instruments including keyboards, drums, flute, as well as the sax’s [alto, Tenor, Soprano] recording singles, cuts on various of artist albums.
It was in Paris at the height of the hip hop era hitting that city Rebelinx Vocal beat-box styling came in full-effect. Having performed with his sax with jazz greats at spots like "Small's" in NYC, "Biddles"Montreal, The Rex/Toronto, Budapest, Germany, Austria, Amsterdam, all over Paris, etc. he started recording House Beat Box with collaborative efforts with Montreal and Vancouver Dj’s(e.g.: Mat the Alien). RebelinX solo styling and live shows are phenomenal - performing vocals with his Sax, Beat-Box and Ragga alongside his diverse crew, Bitches Brew.
At the present time he’s working on his début album “Millennium” an album which features Beat Box tributes to House music (soulful R&B tracks), “Sweet-Goodbye”, “Don’t stop the music”, Beat-Box meets Hip Hops infusing in deep House in collaboration with Dj Curious G.
While in the midst of recording the new album he showcases with funky soul brother ‘Clev’ Chris (www.myspace.com/clevlinX) with their earlier release entitled ‘Dope New Soul Cats’, a 9-track album, that featured production, arrangements, and performances, graphics by RebelinX.
