Summer of 2006, Rebel Wasteland was formed. Neal and Kade from local Lubbock hard rock band Twisted Toybox broke off and formed RW looking to produce somthing a little more Southern Heavy Metal. Soon, with the addition of Joe, Bass, and Chris, vocals, Rebel Wasteland was born.
The best way to describe RW is Southern "Scare" Metal. Their music is pounding and heavy yet with catchy groves. The lyrics are dark and as mysterious as the man who sings them. Give em a listen and tell us you havn't thought about doing some of the things he sings about.
Rebel Wasteland is proud to say they are from Lubbock, as Lubbock needs more hard rock/metal acts. They are also proud to have played, Dallas, San Antonio, New Mexico and soon, Austin and Houston, as well as smaller venues and towns all in between.
