Redwood Empire Baseball AL Padres, Northern California M.S.B.L. The AL Padres were formed in 06' after the 05' NL Padres were disbanded from the NL REBL League. Keeping the team together was led by Jason Masciorini, Manager and Mike Baldwin, Asst. Manager.
2007 Year in review... As our Skipper Mash says, the Padres showed some serious hunger to win in 07', but were left very hungry at year end. With a 7-11 record in 07', the Friars made a huge jump over 06's 1-17. If a few more bounces and timely hits and defense went their way in 07', the Pads would have saw their record creep over .500 and would have had a solid chance to make the AL Playoffs.

Upcoming 2008 Season. Well, its nearly time to pull the bat bags out of the garage and get started on what the Padres hope will be their first winning season as a franchise. ANNUAL REBL TRYOUTS AND DRAFT
The Redwood Empire Baseball League will hold its annual tryouts and draft for all new players and teams on
Sunday, March 8th at 10:00am at Golis Park in Rohnert Park.
All age divisions (25+, 35+, 45+, 55+) will participate, as players will go through a series of skill drills in the morning session.
The REBL will have a BBQ for all tryout participants and league members following the tryout portion of the day, which will be immediately followed by league managers conducting the draft. Therefore, all participants will know their status in the early afternoon and will be able to meet their new team manager. Players not selected in the draft will be placed on a Player Waiting List and may also attend our second tryout and draft in early April.
Players interested in attending the Tryouts/Draft and playing in the REBL this season MUST register by filling out and submitting the Player Registration Form. By submitting this form, you'll be added to our draft list and receive important updates and league news.
The REBL offers quality and competitive baseball for players aged 25 and over at all skill levels. Our season consists of an 18-21 game schedule, beginning in mid-April and ending in early October, with games played exclusively on Sundays (except postseason games, which also play on Saturday) at local fields in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties.

The Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men’s Adult Baseball League (MABL) is a national organization with 325 local affiliates, 3,200 teams and 45,000 members who play organized amateur baseball in local leagues, 30 regional tournaments and six national tournaments. The MSBL/MABL World Series and Fall Classic take place every October/November in Arizona and Florida, respectively, playing on almost exclusively MLB Spring Training fields. There are two tournaments held over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in January, the MSBL/MABL Holiday Classic at Disney which is held at the Atlanta Braves spring training facility in Orlando, and a new addition is the Desert Classic which takes place in Palm Springs, CA. The Las Vegas Kickoff Classic, held in ealry-mid March, has become one of our most highly attended tournaments with 104 teams in 2005. Aside from the many regional tournaments held over Memorial Day, the Las Vegas Open is another national tournament which attracts 60 teams each year. Our national tournaments hosted a total of 650 teams in 2004 making them the largest amateur baseball tournaments in the world.
The MSBL/MABL is an idea whose time has come. Just because a person is 18, 28, 38, 48 or over doesn’t mean he loves playing baseball any less.
