About me:

Raised in the desert southwest, west Texas, and the Texas Hill Country, I was constantly surrounded by music. When my family got together the instruments all came out and we sang and played country, bluegrass and Irish shanties all night long. At an early age I developed a love of old western music. This love came from exposure to summers full of Chuckwagon dinners listening to former Sons of the Pioneers members playing those songs the way they were meant to be played, with a heavy beat, vocal melodies, and a sheer love for the music, which was contagious. My own personal journey into musicianship began like so many others, sitting in my room and trying to play an untunable guitar along to Black Sabbath. It progressed from there into playing in metal and punk bands. Soon it was blues that grabbed my heart and never let go. I love "outlaw" and alternative country, especially with that heavy blues mixture in so much of it. I love sound. I think people that truly love music all really love sound. Along that vein, I am always listening to sounds. That has taken me many places and plenty of places left to go. I am excited about every musical journey I take and a new direction I am working on is exciting me just as much as the first time I heard a guitar.
