This page is for news and information on the book Recording the Beatles. The book takes you "behind the scenes" of the Beatles' famous recordings. Inside, you will find clear and detailed explanations of the studios used, who worked on the records, and how they created those legendary sounds. For the first time, the studio equipment they used is shown in great detail, with the history and unusual techniques which were largely lost to time...
The book is the result of two authors combining their talents and interest. Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew worked for over a decade to create one of the most accurate and detailed Beatle books ever written. The book is HUGE - hardcover, 11"x11" and 540 pages of Beatles studio specifics. Inside is solid information on the day-to-day life of a Beatles studio session. The book ends decades of searching by musicians, Beatlefans and "studio people"; now they will be able to find solid, reliable answers - laid out clearly for all levels of interest and knowledge.
Created with years of collaboration from most of the Beatles' session staff, the book gives a clear understanding of sessions for the world's most famous pop records, free of the mythology and haze seen in many previous accounts.
