Red Arrow Highway is the unification of musicians from diverse locations east of the Mississippi. Ann Arbor has brought these four phenomenons together for the first time in history. All hail from a vast array of musical styles. Co-founder, co-leader, assistant executive producer, and guitarist/vocalist, Theo Katzman (of My Dear Disco fame) contributes his songwriting skills as well as his propensity to tune. Andrew Kratzat, his wingman, also brings his writing skills to the table as well as the bebop knowledge he has attained through his forays into the Detroit jazz scene. Andrew, along with being the winner of the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition and Downbeat magazine's best jazz soloist award, has been seen playing alongside the likes of Seth and Daisy May (Andrew was the one with the gigantic hat at harvest gathering last year!), Millish, Jeremy Kittel, Breathe Owl Breathe, Jesse Palter, and Anna Ash. These two are accompanied by the lucid sounds of Luke Gyure's guitar and Mike Shea's (also of MDD fame) drums and toys. Lookout for these four as they continue onward into the abyss of the folk music scene and also lookout for their new EP that is now out (soon to be on iTunes!)
