MySpace a place for friends

First of all Welcome to my-space.

My name is Réda SAMBA.
I was born to a Moroccan-Senegalese father and a French mum.
I discovered my passion for music at an early age thanks to my father, Mokhtar SAMBA.
I watched him practising for hours on the kit with only one desire for me to follow suit and become like him.
Dad initiated me to a few rudiments on the kit and I very quickly picked up a few tricks of him and went on to rehearse them on my own.

While my father was on the road touring with various artists, I locked myself up at home and tried to mimic drum parts of different songs I had come across and picked up by ear.

I was only 11 years old when my parents decided the moment was right for me to integrate into a school of music.
I attended the Noisy Le Grand school of music and studied with my teacher and later on my friend Pierre CAILLOT.
I also joined a class of percussion in the traditional sense at the C.N.R of Saint-Maur directed by Mr ALAIN JACQUET (French Opera keyboard soloist)

Today I continue my musical training by puting my passion at the service of the artists and friends who I respect and work with.

I play ZILDJIAN cymbals.
