patrick. presently plays: Guitar, vokills, ukulele, banjo, synthesizer, percussion, cello, xylophone, whombles, wharbles, and whimsical woots. a hammer, a slammer, and something that scoots. a barbell, perhaps, or an old pair of socks? maybe it was yesterday's faded-green smocks? he's reading the lyrics on the insides of his lids, and he's stomping his feet to see if the ground gives. it usually doesn't.

Here is what I'm listening to these days:
Otomo Yoshihide/O.Y.'s New Jazz Orchestra (i've basically been listening to everything i can find by this guy. none of it is bad. "dreams" rules hard)
Martin Tetreault (collaborations w/ Otomo, and Xavier Charles/Pierre Tanguay....you've never heard turntables like this)
Creedence Clearwater Revival (for the summertimes)
Noxagt
Derek Bailey & Ruins
Sachiko M (in the new genre of "no input")
Evan Parker ("the snake decides" and others)
Anthony Braxton ("New York 1974")
Henry Flynt (for some psychedelic hillbilly music)
Erikm (phenomenal Turntablist)
school is...eh. I'm just trying to make it through my senior year without going crazy you know? I've been doing lots of art and stuff, I think that's gonna be my major, at least for now.
Life is pretty okay. I was sick and bedridden for the past few days, but I think I'm almost 100 percent.
How's college? are you still doing that guitar making/luthier thing?
yo pat, i am leaving for oklahoma tomorrow. i found someone to come with me...it should make the ride fractionally more bearable. I had a good time drinking coffee with you. You should swing on by tornado ally...ill show you a good time.
Hey man. It's C.J. Boyd. I think we met in Chicago once or twice. Do yourself a favor and check out Arvo Part. He's an Estonian contemporary composer with a very minimal, almost ancient style. I strongly suggest Tabula Rasa as an introduction, though he has lots of great recordings. I guess I don't know if you're into classical music, but if you're into it at all, check dude out. Take care.
