Red Blooded Women release their new single ‘Enjoy The Silence’ on March 29 through their own label ‘Young, Fresh & New’.
The feisty all-girl trio have been picking up acclaim from the likes of Popjustice and Electroqueer throughout 2008 with their unique underground style, blowing the traditional girlband model out of the water. At a time when the likes of Lady Gaga and Lily Allen are riding high in the charts, and La Roux and Little Boots are gaining fans in their droves, it seems the time is right for credible, classy modern pop music – something RBW deliver.
The girls may have caught your attention last year with ‘Colour Me Dirty’, the Yazoo sampling electro stormer, and one of the more popular and successful mashups with the biggest dance track of the last 12 months – Pjanoo.
Their new single, a cover of the seminal Depeche Mode classic, was originally conceived for a live show for Electronically Yours. The response to the performance was immense, leaving the girls with no choice but to get in the studio and record it with hot production team ‘Trademark’ (Foals, Chicks on Speed). They’ve created a fitting and exhilarating tribute to the original.

Am concerned about the rerecording of the tracks... is anything being done to the instrumentation or is like what the Sugababes did and re-recorded the vocals for the new member.
