Sounds Like
We play short fast semi-technical catchy grindpunk classics like Meat Hat, Alcohol, I'm Broke, Fuckface, Happy Camper and shit like that. It's probably best to see us live. Described as "the Dayglo Abortions of Northwestern Ontario."

We've got a bunch of new songs, recording a new album, playing shows all the time. We never check myspace so come to the shows, and check out baycore for mp3s and shit.
Red Devil started in late 2001, early 2002 by Destructo (guitars), Scott Freeborn (bass) and Dan Granholm (drums). We had all played in a few different bands and originally wanted to join forces to put together a really crazy band that would melt many obscure styles, from funk to ska to death metal to jazz, into one extremely awe-inspiring meltdown of compositionally-retarded fury. Then we thought about how gay that sounded, so we decided to just get drunk and make some extremely fast and heavy grindpunk. We took our name from the Nomeansno song.
Somewhere after our second or third gig (glorious, classy establishments such as the Westfort Tavern and the Apollo), we got Webster Death on lead vocals because he lived down the street and sold weed. Webster was a scene regular since he was a wee lad and had made some killer one-man-death-metal-band demos on a shitty little 4-track and sang for the very first lineup of the killer band Against All, pre-Tedlee. So we knew he was good.
Over the next couple of years, we played a bunch of cool shows, wrote endless songs, recorded a whole shit-load of demos, and took some really crappy pictures. Some of the more memorable shows so far have been opening for the Dayglo Abortions, The Clorox Girls, The End, Life Against Death, Mr. Plow, Tugnut, The Georgous, Fuck the Facts and a whole lot more. We always liked playing with our fellow local bands and hard partiers in Speedway Detectives and Faceless Hulk.
Dan Granholm rejoined the band four or five times and in 2006, we recorded a really killer cd with the original lineup called The Massive Headwound. We're going to release it. Dan's back in the band full-time and we're currently rocking with Jimmy Laukka on the bass from Faceless Hulk.
We've seen trends come and go while we continue to play balls to the wall raw punk shit for next to nothing. We've been around long enough to see the rise of emo and we plan to be around long after its fall.
Cue in the Zeppelin theme music here. Good times, bad times, you know we've seen our share. Sex, drugs, alcohol, parties, vomit, welcome to the world of Red Devil. Sin is our middle name. We've lost a few brothers along the way too so lift a glass to those metal fiends that we haven't seen in a while.
