Red Diesel are a 5 piece original groove/funk band.
’A truly superb singer songwriter backed by the best funk outfit I’ve heard in a long time’ The Guardian
Seasoned veterans from Naked Angel, Gypsie, Hedphonic Orange, Katdog come together to make this fresh groove.Currently working on debut album- working title ’Freaks is Coming’
Influences- Kate Bush, Public Enemy, Joe Tex,Aretha,Bootsy Collins, Frank Zappa,Red Hot Chilli peppers, Marvin Gaye, Sly and the Family Stone, Betty Wright, Fatback Band, and Mary Coughlan.
Favourite things- playing live, the small festival circuit, cool small venues where you really play to real people (ie The Rooms) Afro wigs, stylish Huggy Bear threads, and live recording. And maybe a spot of drinking.
Can be seen regularly at The Rooms once a month as part of a funk night called DUB FISH FUNK, where they are sandwiched by DJs - Max Afro and Dj Ballhead are regulars, who play honest to god foot hurtin funk with a dash of dub and absolutely no fish at all.
Members- Kat,Wil, Caz,Max and Simon.
Can be booked through this site- live funk night called Groove Test- 3 DJs and band.

it's a little known fact that the Bohemia Ukulele Band will be the opening act at the Bohemia Village Fayre which takes place on Sunday 7th September at Summerfields, Bohemia, Hastings. We go on stage at 1pm, but do get there early to avoid disapointment.
Although it promises to be a bright, sunny and dry early autumn day; I can say without fear of contradiction (or, perhaps, because of it) that you are guaranteed to derive immense pleasure from the Bohemia Ukulele Band regardless of the weather. You will come away a better person; happier; more popular, witty and charming. The experience; it has been said: will make you a more intelligent and sensitive, if not a better, lover. That's the unique Bohemia Ukulele Band promise. The whole day actually promises to be a life enhancing experience.
I saw Red Diesel play last small world and I've been waiting to come back down to this world ever since. I wouldn't put money on them reaching the dizzy performing heights of last time round no way Jozo. I was there! (still only half way back like) peace and light x
