About me: Red Dog is a friendly and colorful art space in Downtown Phoenix. Next door to The Roosevelt, we share an amazing vintage house with Bunky Boutique. To the west, we are neighbored by The Kollectiv, to the east, Holgas. Come visit us!
Who I'd like to meet: Artists, Musicians, Neighbors!
The fire started by rogue fireworks next to Holga's had already burned itself out by the time these guys showed up, but we were happy to see them nonetheless!

we have space for more artists! we are a collective of artists sharing a space at Red Dog Gallery, 812 N 3rd St., in a historic 1914 house in downtown phoenix just south of Roosevelt row, within walking distance of ASU downtown campus, the new medical/biotech complex, condos, and light rail. right next to the Roosevelt Bar. we are looking for quality, stable, committed and mature artists in any genres to join us, whether emerging or established, who want to invest in their art career and want a steady and reliable place to show their work.
We are starting our 5th year in operation. Our space sees over 2000 visitors every first friday. we are also open every Saturday 1-5. we have several spaces available for rent. we have "Art in the yard", where you can rent about ten feet of space in the yard, bring your own setup and lights, for $40 on first friday. we also have $50, $100 and $200 spaces in the front room and a smaller half room for $90. All of us in the collective/gallery pay for space in the gallery for rent and bills, and also pay 10% commission to the gallery on works sold. your work is juried by the two owners of the gallery who are also artists within the space. we have an alarm system and insurance covering the work in the gallery. We are trying to be open more this fall so we may ask you to gallery-sit for a two or three hour shift once a week or so. you do not have to be there for First Friday (unless you are showing in the yard) but we would like you to stop by and change out your work as frequently as you can to keep the gallery as fresh as possible. Be a part of the biggest artwalk in the US-- a chance to show your work to LOTS of people!
I rent space here and I have sold pieces from $5--$500. It's a good investment in your art career, and a great way to get some feedback on your work.
Thanks for looking!
