   About Red Dvorak
Paul "Red" Dvorak was born and raised on the Texas gulf coast in Angleton, and his music is a reflection of those times, as well as fifty-plus years of life. While he is a longtime music fan, he did not begin writing his own material until the age of forty. He enjoys listening to multiple genres and styles, but when it comes to writing, he creates a blend of traditional country and americana. As Lucky Boyd at MyTexasMusic says, "the traditional roots run deep" in Red's debut album, "Yesteryear". Red attended Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant of Infantry in the US Army, attending Airborne & Ranger training enroute to the 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, CA. Upon completion of his service obligation he returned to Texas, working in Houston & San Antonio. He joined the Texas Army National Guard, then returned to active duty and served until 2004, when he retired at the rank of Colonel. Somewhere in the middle of all this are two masters degrees, divorce, a couple of church choirs, being in the Pentagon on 9-11, meeting and marrying the love of his life, and raising three kids. He now resides in San Antonio, and has finally realized his dream of recording an album of all original work. In addition to songwriting, Red also volunteers with the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, the San Antonio A&M Club, and Texas Music Coalition.
