About Redeema R.I.P.

Redeema. Saviour, liberator.... coming from a heavy, chaotic, metropolitan and sometimes snotty capital called Berlin. A city showing off its luxury and having the talent to tell visitors that the filthy areas such as the SO-36, Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg represent the intellectual scene of the city.

A city with such variety leaves its mark. That is why it is hard to find the right words to describe redeema. The six guys drift from metalcore to punk rhythms to straight pop vocals put over brutal moshparts and call it metal.....

Four years ago probably noone ever thought about what could happen to Redeema:

In 2003 six months after redeema was formed they won the Berlin Styles and Skills Band Contest. A year later they played at the worldwide EMERGENZA FESTIVAL and reached the final of northern Germany (Berlin) in the columbiahalle. They led the worldwide EMERGENZA CHARTS this year with 581 votes and got second due to a decision made by a jury.
During fall of 2004 redeema entered the stage as a member of the All Freaks Tour 2004 presented by BRAINSTORM PROMOTION and DEVMAN PUBLISHING. During that time the fanbase in Berlin grew. TRINITY CONCERTS booked the band as a support for acts like TAPE, CROSSCUT and ILL NINO in 2006.
In 2004 VOLKER RAHMLOW founder of the germanwide ILLNINOWORLD.COM community, established REDEEMAWORLD.COM, a virtual meeting point for the growing community of redeema fans.

UNCLE SALLYS described the band as followed: „Redeema is one of the best live newcomer bands in the metal genre [...] raising them up from all the other countless Newmetal/Metalcore bands.“
WASTE OF MIND said very realistic and accurate: „ The guys from Berlin have a lot of potential and are on the right track. But I also think that their songwriting needs more precision.“

The road Redeema wants to follow is already paved due to hard work, strong will and of course talent. They want to play big venues, want to touch lots of people or at least sweeten the peoples lives for a few hours. They work very hard for these goals. In the end the summer festivals in 2006 need no explanation. They played the KLIKK FEST (SK) together with DOG EAT DOG & UK SUBS or the BASE IN FIRE FEST (CZ) together with Clawfinger and DORO....

Right now Redeema is writing music for their next highly estimated record due in 2007.
