Red Eye Express are Damiano Verna (Bass/keyboards/technology), Ben Heppel (Guitar/keyboards/technology), Giorgio Giampetri (Guitar/keyboards/technology) and multi-instrumentalist, Rob McPherson.
In 2003, Damiano AKA Arcane Trickster, started working with good friend Giorgio Giampetri, best known as the guitarist with local band Snood, and his DJing and electronic music using the alias Bebcat, and were soon joined by English ex-pat Ben Heppel, known for his breaks productions under the alias Stickleback and Rob Mc Pherson, a veteran of the Melbourne indie scene, now known for his world music influenced project, Garagee.
Sharing a back ground in rock music and electronic music, Red Eye Express is a fusion of their influences, with the production nous of ARIA award winning producer Simon Polinski and augumented by the programming skills of Christopher Innes.
Red Eye Express have been featured releases on Tempest Recordings, in addition to releases on Cosmicleaf (Greece), Yellow Sunshine Explosion (Germany), Tranceport (Russia), Soulcandi (South Africa) and Cinetiks (France).
In addition to occasional live performances with the full band, Damiano regularly DJs under the Red Eye Express name as a resident in hometown Melbourne venues Glitch Bar & Section 8, and has supported The Orb, Juno Reactor & Banco De Gaia amongst others on tour.
