A jukebox from your favorite bar stranded on a desert Island with a Roller Derby Team that's been drinking Robitussin for days while cooking up the native birds on a spit.
Red Eye Revival started as a garage band in 2001. J.T. Ruggier and Lyndon Renault worked together and became friends. Then they started to jam together. J.T. plays drums and Lyndon plays guitar. After a couple jam sessions J.T. brought in ex-Phlegmtone guitarist, singer, songwriter Scot Livingston and Lyndon brought in Bass player Andy Thompson. We had a decent sound with plenty of promise. We decided that we should have a name and we called ourselves the Seven Deadly Five. Shortly after the band was started, J.T. left to explore the mountains of Montana, and Dave Lane joined the band as the new drummer and we became Red Eye Trio. Shortly after that the band became Red Eye Revival, and has gone through some major changes. Scot left the band, Andy went to jail, and we were without a bass player and singer. after going through some more bass players Jeff Mathis joined the band and Lyndon started singing and playing lead guitar. At that time the band was a power trio. Jeff left the band to play metal and we were again in limbo. We would soon find our band going full circle. J.T., after many moons of traveling the U.S., returned back to the band he helped form, bringing with him his wonderful wife Sara. J.T. now plays rhythm guitar and random percussion while Sara is now on bass. the new line up is working well and we just played our first show. We are now feeling much more confident and are ready for more performances. We are ready for the money, not neccessarily the fame...
So J.T., being the weak guitar player in the band, flaked out. We had to kick him to the curb. He is no longer a Red Eye player. So long Jack, or so we thought. We kicked him to the curb and he bounced right back into the band. J.T. is now playing Drums again with the band making one big long circle. Welcome back J.T.
And now we welcome the newest ( but somehow the oldest member of the band) Murphy Van Vorst. Murphy is our new lead guitar player, he will melt your face off.
