Brockton born drummer Chris Poudrier has had an eclectic career spanning thirty five years. Poudrier graduated from UMASS Amherst in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education Cum Laude. He performed many classical pieces on marimba including a high profile concert for the M.E.N.C. Conference in Miami as well as performing George Crumb’s “Ancient Voices of Children” with Pro Music Moderna under the direction of Dr. Charles Fussell. Endorsements include Regal Tip Products and Istanbul Agop Cymbals. Professor UMASS Dartmouth Drumset Instructor 2005 to Present and Music Director UMASS Latin/Jazz/World "Vision Music Ensemble" 2006 to Present.
Berklee College Percussion Festival Week Drumset Instructor 2005 to Present. Teachers include Royal Hartigan, Bob Moses, Adam Nussbaum, Yoron Israel, John Ramsay, Keith Copeland, Bob Gullotti, and Fred Buda. Poudrier’s prowess also extends beyond the drumming world where he is an active composer, plays the Irish Uilleann Pipes, and is a skilled Bodhran player.
