Angelina Jolie... because she's a mom AND trying to save the world... and she rocks my socks!
I love to write, read, and explore the universe. I have a beautiful daughter who is the center of my world and given me a new perspective on life. I am in love with an amazing man named Ishmael who also just happens to be the wonderful father of Madilyn as well. I graduated in May with a bachelors degree in English and a minor in Women's Studies. I am library assistant for an academic law library. Eventually I want to go on to get my Masters in library science in order to become a librarian. Life is good an always getting better...
... if you survived all the basic beautifully simple stuff that seem to sum me up into a quiet little librarian, here's an extension of the scoop: i have wanderlust like a mad woman, but unfortunately neither the funds nor the opportunity to really play out my transatlantic fantasies; i daydream about the day when i will have the time and energy to sit and write... nothing but write all day long and late into the night with coffee and rockstars there to keep me crazy and my hand swirling across the page; i look at my hundreds of books and feel an immense pain because i have read only a fraction of them; i walk through the aisles of academic and public libraries and my heart beats a little faster for all the lives and thoughts and feelings that those books--those words--contain; i have actually danced in the rain, by myself, in the dark, when no one was watching; i use to be obsessed with death until i realized that life was much more interesting; i enjoy funerals with a morbid fascination, as i find them grossly self-indulgent on the part of the mourners since the person who died and is being celebrated is no longer there to enjoy the celebration... when i get old i want to have a funeral before i die, just so i can enjoy all those tears and stories... when i was a teenager i had a friend in my physics class who i exchanged notes with about various ways in which to successfully commit suicide, we had hundreds by the end of the term...
T.G.F.I.-----> Thank Goodness For Ishmael :)

Who I'd like to meet:
people who understand me and my strange way of thinking and dealing with the world...
... and then there are all the people I'll never get to meet for one reason or another like: Angelina Jolie, William Shakespeare, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, JFK, Adolf Hitler, Albert Einstein, Napoleon, Susanna Kaysen, Lisa Rowe, Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, Samuel Langhorne Clemmens, Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf, Ernest Hemingway...
... it would also be nice to sit down with my mother and find out who she was and what she was like...

madilyn is blessed to have you as her mommy, and not a moment goes by that she isn't thinking about you - and i mean you! whenever i take her on outings or play games with her, she is sure to emphasize that momma and baby make these things even better. she goes on about you relentlessly when you're here and when you're gone. i know the mama milk is trying. and sometimes you think it's all she sees. but really it's her way of getting close to you. there's nowhere she would rather be than at your side or in your arms. she loves you! and so do i. happy mother's day Audrey!!!!
at first it was a whisper with no response. then it grew to a shout, without response. so, now that you're gone, and i can't tell you how i feel, i'll post the words in this world that, "doesn't exist." i love you, audrey.
i miss you too! i really need to go back to phx in the near future... life has been a little bit of a bitch over the past few weeks, but hopefully it'll come around soon. how are you?
I would just like to say thank you. Thank you to your baby's daddy for making you crave salsa verde chips and then making you crave them and then making me go out and buy them lol. So thank you :)
Thanks for dinner the other night. It was delicious and it was great to see all of you! Lets do it at my place next time :) It's going to be in downtown phx, a few minutes away from work.
it's so nice to hear from you! i defiantly want to catch up soon and hear all about baby fun and not getting prego fun and let's discuss how crapy the economy is (i got laid off)!
let's talk soon, sunday's are good for me! i hope she (and ish) enjoy the blocks:)
i was hoping to head home for maddie's birthday, but we'll see how it goes...stupid economy. (i've begun to blame everything on the economy, getting laid off, not being able to afford a trip, getting mascara on the top of my eye lid...it's all that damn economies fault!)
I can't believe how much she is growing. She is unbelieveably cute. All of you are so cute together! What sorts of things is she copying? lol Yeah, time seems to go by faster than you realize it. I sadly missed the deadline for grad school so I have a wait til the next deadline...maybe its better that way though. We'll see.
