You know that album you had when you were a kid that EVERYBODY who was cool bought and played it until it wore out, and then bought it again to replace it? And these days everytime you hear a track off that album you get all psyched up and are ready for a party or a fight or to push your foot to the floor in your car? Yeah, well, this isn't that album. Because that would be stealing and stealing is wrong. But you'll love it. It's a way of life. All the cool kids are doing it.

The band was formed back in 1998 under another name to play a Benefit concert at Toads Place in New Haven CT. Nobody involved really had thought about playing out and about after that specific show but the adrenaline was in the blood.
More gigs came and more music was written and the members at the time were in the studio recording their CD.
Things happen as they always do (fellow musicians know what we're talking about) and some members had to be let go and new ones found.
The band kept it together until they could find a group who could stick with it and had the desire to accomplish something bigger than each one of them alone.
They had been beaten down like a Red-Headed Stepchild (hence the name change) and they weren't about to give up.
The band has now completed their first full-length CD ($10.00), available at shows and through www.redheadedstepchildband.com.

We are looking for all original,21+, ROCK, METAL, and HIP HOP bands to come together and bring their best three songs to represent themselves and their geographical region. Three judges, ballot boxes, and noise meters will determine who advances. This is a multi-venue event, so more's the betterer.
