Approached by Warp Records in 2002 after Boards of Canada passed them the privately pressed 'Blue Flowers' EP, Red Morning Chorus have also received accolades from Dream Magazine, Ptolemaic Terrascope, Glen from Piano Magic/Tugboat, Hand/Eye Records, Static Caravan & Cranium (New Zealand). Blue Flowers was also broadcast in its entirety on Antwerp, Belgium's Radio Centraal.
Another privately pressed cdr, 'How To Build An Igloo', was quietly released in the winter of 06/07; a mere 25 copies were circulated to close friends & acquaintances - some with handmade paper snowflakes.
In the summer of 2008, demo versions of Eighty Eight Is Infinity were streamed from Myspace for broadcast before the song was officially released on 'Love & Bird Song', the long awaited long player. Comprised of songs from Blue Flowers & How To Build An Igloo as well as previously unreleased material, the album was completed in September 2008.
During the production of Love & Bird Song, Jesse Edwards worked with Odd Nosdam (Anticon), Franciscan Hobbies (Jewelled Antler Collective, San Francisco), Jessica Bailiff (Kranky), His Name Is Alive (Acuarela Discos, Spain), & Rivulets (Acuarela Discos, Spain).
Previous releases with Jessica Bailiff include a full length titled Northern Song Dynasty, (2005, All Is Number), & a 10" record on UK's Resonant label titled "Jessica Bailiff w/ the.dithering.effect."(2000).
Currently seeking fine record labels for wider distribution & licensing. Also accepting commissions for future projects. Please send all inquiries to redmorningchorus@gmail.com. Journalists, bloggers, & promoters are also encouraged to contact Red Morning Chorus for reviews, & interviews.
