not really a band. brian and clint kind of do a lot of the work with the records, but it's a very collaborative effort, working with people all over the place.
Influences
a lot of music.
Sounds Like
we're told we have a folk, sometimes country sound. I think we'd prefer our music to be considered simple, thoughtful, acoustically driven, whatever that means. we're just trying to create songs that people actually want to listen to.
we drag our recording gear all over the place, and invite our friends to come and help us make new songs out of old texts. when people ask about our music, we never know what to say. it feels weird to describe. but it's given us more hope and joy than we could ever explain, and for some reason we can't stop.

Hey guys, you did a great job at the funeral yesterday. I couldn't think of a more appropriate setting for "take my unbelief." I know your music made a real difference yesterday.
I absolutely love you guys, I hope I can make it out to see you guys some day! What better thing than the beautiful doctrine of hymns blended with beautiful music?? Be blessed
Thank you guys so much for the work you're doing. We absolutely love it, are blessed by it, and inspired by it. If you get a chance, come check out some of the things that we've been working on. God bless!
whats goin on guys- i really enjoy your music... you'll are the one of very few christian music bands that are not shallow and actually make one think about the lyrics.
I love how you'll use the gadsby hymnal.
Hi. Wow.
I really think you do an amazing job with the music, you've written some great tunes and songs. I really liked 'Wedding Dress' from your Depth of Mercy album, very powerful.
Love listening to your music, and it's about time we sang some of your songs in church. Thanks for adding me!
Bye.
Hi. I don't know how much you all look at these comment posts but I was wondering if the song "Help My Unbelief" available for download. I would really appreciate it if so! That's, by far, my favorite song!
Hey RM - I see you've stolen my bass player there...along with a whole slew of other people.
Anyway, I know its been a while since last chatting, but you should know our record is finished and available at my myspace. You can also listen to a few new songs there. (Its also at Grimey's in Nashville, but...)
Please spread the word. This is a very grass roots thing and you and others like you who have shown support are the roots.
Fighting, scratching & never sayig die - TS
p.s. I know its a long shot but if you're in Nashville soon, we're playing Sept 7, 10 pm @ 3rd & Lindsley & Sept 15, 9 pm @ Belmont University for FREE.
The New CD is AMAZING! It just feels so much like Birmingham. I live in Louisville now so that means alot. Yet my soul is nurtured even here and this music is grace to me. Brian, do you know Chip Stam from Clifton here in Louisville? if not then you should. He is the music guy at Southern seminary and song leader at my church.
Hope you are doing well. My access to the internet is fairly sporadic at the moment, and I'd like to have been in touch more to say how much I love "Help my Unbelief". I will say something articulate and very positive about it as soon as I can get to my e-mail account for a decent length of time.
For now: beautiful, spot-on, helpful, hopeful, perspective-setting, delicate, masterful.
