Who I'd like to meet:
You In Heaven! And Here Is How To Meet Me There!
Have you been saved?
God's Plan of Salvation:
Are you sure you're going to Heaven when you die? John 3:5 reads, Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the
kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. [6] Flesh gives birth
to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. [7] You should not be surprised
at my saying, ..You must be born again.'
In the Bible God provides us with his plan of salvation
(to be born again). His
plan is simple. You can be saved today, please read on.
First you must realize you a sinner.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23
Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 This death includes eternal separation from God.
But God loves you and has a plan of salvation
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
So all you have to do is believe in Jesus? God made him who had no sin to be sin
for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians
5:21
What did Jesus have to do so that I could be saved?
Jesus had to shed His blood and die. For the life of a creature is in the blood,
and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is
the blood that makes atonement for one's life. (Leviticus 17:11)
In fact, the
law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the
shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (Hebrews 9:27) But God demonstrates
his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8) Although we may not understand how, God said my sins and your sins
were laid upon Jesus and he died in our place.
What must I do to be saved?
This is the same question the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas and
"They
replied Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." (Acts 16:31) You
must understand that, "In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he
commands all people everywhere to repent." (Romans 17:30) This repentance is a
change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with
what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was
buried, and whom God resurrected. His resurrection assures that the believer can
claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Lord and Savior. for,
"Everyone
who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)
The everyone
includes you! God's promise is that you will be saved, not maybe, not as long
as, but will be saved.
So, if you realize your a sinner, then right now, wherever your sitting, lift
your heart to God in prayer and repent. If you like follow this simple prayer:
Lord,
I know that I'm a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when he died on the
cross. I believe his shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I
now receive him as my Savior. I thank you for the forgiveness of my sins, the
gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of your merciful grace.
Amen
Just take God at his word and claim his salvation by faith. Believe and you will
be saved. No church membership, ceremonial acts, or good works can save you. God
alone does all the saving. "Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" (2
Corinthians 9:15)
If you're not sure about what you've just read, read it again, ask God to help
you understand, send me an email or leave me a voice message, but don't delay. Your soul is worth more than
all the world. "What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit
his soul? (Mark 8:36)
Once you are saved, there are three things you should begin to practice daily
for spiritual growth: Pray, Read your Bible, and find a good Bible-believing
church home.
Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season! December 25th should be one big birthday party for our Savior!
Do you want to give our Savior a gift? Jesus tells us how in Matthew 25:40, "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"
What you give to those who need it the most is what you give to Jesus! How awesome is that?!? You can get Jesus a present!! Do something for someone this Christmas for who is really in need, and tell them Jesus loves them!
As you know, today is September 11th. Please pray for our Troops, Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Medical Workers, and our President & other Leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Though we should pray for all of these people every day, today is a Special Day of Remembrance.
I pray that you have a blessed weekend... may God fill your heart with immeasurable love, joy and peace.
Here are some Scriptures that I would like to share with you today...
Psalms 147:3 (NIV) - He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Matthew 5:4 (NIV) - "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Psalm 46:1 (NIV) - God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Corinthians1:3-4 (NIV) - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. John 14:1 (NIV) - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me." Psalm 23:4 (NIV) - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
I ran across another Scripture I wanted to share: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. I wrote a full blog about it today too, you can read that here: http://blog. myspace. com/faithfullylitha
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Know that you are loved by me... I love you because God created you!
Hi... how are you today? I hope you are having a wonderful day.
I ran across a scripture this morning that I wanted to share.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. "
--Matthew 5:14-16
As Christians, we are not to hide the light of Jesus... we are to shine so all can see and Praise Him!. We must live our lives to magnify Christ.
The scripture says "that they may see your good deeds". But be careful not to get into that trap of wanting to be praised for your good deeds... remember do all good deeds to the Glory of God! If any praise you, tell them to Praise the Lord! All the Glory goes to Him!
Magnify Jesus Christ in your life so that everyone knows you are living for God. When your neighbor, co-worker, or even a stranger sees you now... do they automatically KNOW you are a Christian? Magnify Jesus so they will.
I hope and pray this Scripture inspired you the way it inspired me.

I've been so exhausted lately, and I found this scripture in the Bible so I thought I'd share... "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word." (Psalm 119:28 NIV)
God has an answer for that prayer... He will give you rest if you just come to Jesus! God will strengthen you! "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 NIV) "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." (Isaiah 40:28 NIV) "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." (Jeremiah 31:25 NIV) "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
And most important... Don't give up in doing good!!!! He has something great planned for you! "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9 NIV)
I hope you have a wonderful day... God Bless, Litha
