MY Dad
He surely was a Simple Man, he taught me that there ain't no $ sign in Happiness. He was quiet, kind of soft spoken man who could get his point across without raising his voice or using foul language. He made a carear out of serving his country and did his tour in Nam. He was proud to wear that uniform and proud to be an American. He always took care of his family and had a good running car or truck, plenty of food, love, and lots of laughs. We watched every John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Jimmi Stewart movie ever made at least three or four times. He could tell a good joke and charm the Bloomers off the ladies right up till the end. I've never met anyone who had a bad word to say about him, which is good cuz I would fight with anyone, anywhere, anytime if they did. My Dad was about the best friend a man could ask for. I look alot like him and can only hope I'm half the man he was. If you were lucky enough to have known him you know I've not even come close to expressing how great a person he was. TSGT. Glenn Russell Penrod, My Dad, I sure miss him. Dads are the best friends you'll ever have, they sit through school plays, dance recitals, and anything else we did. They eat some of the nastiest food ever half cooked with a smile telling you how great you are, and he means it. Don't wait till Fathers Day to tell your Dad that how great he is, and mean it.
