Red Planet Recording, Live Sound & Rehearsal was established in May of 2004 by Bruce Howze and Joe Smiley. Longtime friends and bandmates, we decided to "do it ourselves" and start our own company. Although we are a new company, we have been doing live sound and recording bands together and seperately for over 6 years.
The list of band we have done live sound for includes: Youth Of Today, Leftover Crack, American Nightmare, Minor Times, Vision, Daughters, All Else Failed, Sex Positions, Dysrythmia, Panthers, Animal Collective, Del Cielo, Hail Social, SunnO))), Hidden Hand, Passion, Zolof The Rock And Roll Destroyer, Punishment, The Loved Ones, Paint It Black, Fight Amputation, Baroness, Unpersons, Requiem and too many more to mention.
And while the number of bands we've had in the studio is much fewer, we are a new company and hope that will be changing very soon. We have done recordings for Hulk Smash, Alyosha, Mothra, Koonda Holaa, as well as an entire in-studio live new years show featuring Baroness, Requiem, Unpersons, Fight Amputation Gonna Vahm, Unholy Wolves, Mothra, Alyosha, Dead Heir, and The Hulk Smash Collective. And, as if all that wasnt enough, in addition to building a recording studio, we are also built 12 rehearsal rooms for bands to rent out monthly. There may be one waiting for your band right now!
