Well, it's not B. Jones! So don't worry! About the money thing...yeah, we tried that route and got no response from BHS in regards to any money saved away for our reunion! So apparently, if we did have any money...it's no longer available. Tear.
Who actually runs this thing-god forbid it was R. Jones :) No seriously because I believe we have some money we saved for the reunion over ten years ago....
Thanks to all of you that have sent your current addresses! We have over 30 so far...please keep them coming! We do realize that there are many of us from '97 that are NOT on MySpace! But this has been an AMAZING tool for us to use in order to get in contact with many old classmates! So, this is where our job ends...and yours begins! If you know of ANYONE (or just happen to run into someone on the street who looks vaguely familiar from high school) who is not a MySpace regular PLEASE pass along our website address, get their address, or just give them all the dirty details! We want to reach EVERYONE...but we can't do it without your help!
Sorry to anyone that spent money in an attempt to make it to the now-cancelled reuion! We tried our hardest to get people to RSVP to let us know who would be attending and got very little response (I guess this MySpace thing isn't all we had hoped it to be in the communication department). But we're still hoping to put something together (probably next spring/summer) with enough notice to allow as many people as possible to arrange a trip to good old Bellingham!
Hi All, I just went to my husband's 10 year this past weekend and it was so fun and so great to see people. I hope we can still get something together. I like the casual idea and am willing to help out if someone wants to get a hold of me. Thanks, Kylie
I will be in town the homecoming weekend, so I'm still planning on showing up at the Homecoming festivities.
Would be great to see some other class of 1997 people!
One thing is for sure though is that there will be a reunion sometime soon, its just trying to figure out the specifics. Its a lot of work. Thanks to Jamie and Ellen and the folks that are trying to make it happen.
Boundary Bay would be fab! However, we can't just show up on a Saturday night! That place is ALWAYS packed! Therefore, we would have to book the place...and that requires money in advance...I would imagine! :( So, then we're basically back to our first dilema...but it's definately something to look into! Keep the ideas coming folks! :)
I would still like to do something also. I am not down with formal. Of course if you remember me very well I never have been. I like the idea that CamE had with going to boundry bay. I could handle something like that.
I would still like to see some type of reunion happen. I liked the idea of just doing it somewhere that you can pay at the door. We shouldn't wait for another ten years.
I'm guessing that the only time most non-Bellingham-dwelling classmates would have the option of being around is during the holidays (if they're families still live there). Otherwise, since summer has come and gone, and most people have very limited vacation time, I don't see those who have moved away making it back for a reunion. Do something fun with those of you who are there. In 10 years let's try and plan something around July or August, with at least 6 months notice so people can get time off and make travel arrangements.
The price is fairly steep for the Northwood hall or whatever it's called... I say we should find a place that will be a bit cheaper and have all pay at the door. I had heard something about boundary bay. That would be fun and we could all pay for our own things... Also, I know a lot of people who wanted to go but don't have myspace and didn't have the info but wanted to go (just heard word of mouth through others). A few thoughts ;)
