WHAT ABOUT RED RICHARDS ?

Born in 1975, RED RICHARDS has always been very keen on music. He discovered the new sounds of electro music on FM radios in the 90’s. This eclectic musician who started by playing the guitar at 16 soon shared his own creations and mixes revealing a colourful universe to the dance floor.
Professionally speaking, Red Richards first oriented himself towards sport coaching and then to the press and media business. He gained thanks to these varied experiences strength and solid professionalism adding to his creative passion for digital beats.
By joining in 2001 the TEST label, Red Richards was able to step behind the decks and play his mixes at dozens of events. The end of 2002 marked the take off of Red Richards’ career as a dj/producer. It was time for him to devote all his time to music and make his own tracks. It resulted in 2004 in the launch of an innovative musical project, then chosen by “Century 21 France” for a sound new format.
In 2005, after several collaborations with singer and saxophonist, he performed on stage with the two (house soulful/electro jazz).
This was followed by the release of an original concept, inspired by years of experience and fruitful cooperation; it is indeed an exploration into the different rhythms/sounds and sources of electronic music.
Late 2005, Red Richards came back in the spotlight with the “Idiosyncrasy – arcane 13th” project : a live venue 100% trip hop music.
In December 2005, Red Richards was ranked second at the national dj competition organized by “Universal music” and “Mosaic label”.

January 2006 : he took part in the compilation album released by The “Pole Regional des Musiques Actuelles de la Réunion” with his title “Jasmine tea” (2,000 copies) / April 2006 : promotional cd (4 tracks) “In off sound from run”, issued by “Smirnoff Réunion” (5,000 copies) / April 2006 : mix untitled “Funky SC” featuring in the credits of a TV game called “Une vitrine en or” programmed on “RFO Réunion” everyday / September 2006 : mix untitled “Fatalis” featuring in the credits of a TV show called “Night X press” programmed on “Antenne Réunion” every week / December 2006 : Sound design for the new RFO’s TV advertising.
