Besides the things I already mentioned...I love all kinds of water sports, including fishing and I bought an old 1958 Bell Boy Banshee last fall and I can't wait to take her out when it gets warmer and catch some fish. It even has a fishfinder! I love camping and being in the woods or mountains...desert or the tropcs...I love it all. ..
I love to travel and want to see it all. I especially have a soft spot in my heart for the tropics and want to go over there...there being anywhere tropical...and maybe even retire there? UPDATE...I just returned from a 28 day visit to Waikiki and now I KNOW I want to live there....and I am going to do it. I HAVE to...I just wish I hadn't waited all my life to get there. But...right now I want to be close to my family and spend quality time with those who like my company! Hahaha! Some don't so well..not mentioning any names. They know who they are!
I have had this crazy plan to have a home in each of the mountains, tropics and the desert. Then just travel to each as the weather dictates or to follow the art shows ot whatever....BUT...now...I just want to be in Hawaii. What a dream come true and it is everythign I ever dreamed it was and MORE!
I am a very UN-structured gal and do things on the spur of the moment. Always have! I am getting a bit older now and the homing instincts are taking over as well. I am a taurus/gemini cusp...so I am all mixed up. I want it all! BUT...I am patient!!! I want a home...never really had one. Been moving all my life...but want a HOME...someplace I can keep all my stuff and I can go wherever and when I come HOME...all my stuff is right where I left it. Most people take Home for granted...but not me.
I also have always had a dream of doing music. I would love to play in a band. Of course...it would help if I would practice more. I dink around with my guitar but I get bored with myself. I would love to have someoone to jam with often. Someone who I can learn with and get it really together. Just like having a dance partner that we know each other so well that we can really get it to work. I guess it all comes back to my twin flame. My soulmate! Ohhhhhh.....the DREAM! I am an intense romantic...believe in true love forever...magic that never dies..but grows stronger each wonderful day! Hmmmm....ramblin on...must be in one of "those" moods!
I am a dancing FOOL! Love it! I like old cars, houses, barns, people, clothes, furniture....anything old. Again...I was born 100 years too late! I am very spontaneous and adventurous and will probably never really grow up...just get older....chronologically, that is! Smile! image=auntien604mydocs0026we.jpg" target="_blank">
I also am Native American from a couple different branches of my family tree....Seneca...Kiowa...and Cherokee. But I do dance at PowWows, though not competitvely and am getting my regalia together as I go.
This is my grandma Blanche...isn't she beautiful? I miss and love her so much. Tell me....do you see the Native blood in her face...I think so!!!!!!!!ALL PHOTOGRAPHS OF MY GRANDMA BLANCHE ARE BY MY GRANDPA...ED LECLAIRE...AN INCREDIBLY TALENTED ARTIST AND PHOTOGRAPHER! MY TEACHER!
I either have past life memories or genetic memories....or BOTH...but whatever it is....is strong and I enjoy being around Indians of all tribes and learning all I can about the "Red Road". I love going to PowWows and I paint on drums
and I dance, although not competitively! Just getting my regalia put together pretty good...albeit a mishmash of tribes...just like me! I intend on hitting the PowWow trail next summer and making an attempt to sell my art!!!
I want to do what I was put on this earth to do...my "real" art...and LIVE my life while I am still young enough to get around!! Smile!

Music
First I want to introduce my very close and dear friend.......
RITCHIE RHINEHARDT....the most amazingly talented musician I know.......AWSOME BLUES....TOTALLY RITCHIE STYLE!!!! If you happen to go to Tombstone, Arizona...look him up....he is working at "SIX GUN CITY".
I just learned about Scott...and took a listen and he is also very talented and I am all about helping any kind of artist get exposure....including MUAH! Tehehe!
Basically most anything but opera! But my favs are classic rock, blues, R&B, Bluegrass, folk, and black gospel music! I am not the biggest western fan...but I do really like some of it. Judds, old western, and certain songs. But I can't take too much of it at once...just can be so depressing. I especially enjoy ethnic music....Native American....Celtic....East Indian....Japanese...etc.
Add MySpace Records as your friend!
I want to introduce a 19 year old KID (sorry Paolo! SMILE! Age really IS just a number) from Scotland the I just discovered yesterday and his music is right up there with my good friend, RITCHIE RHINEHARDT, and I don't say THAT about ANYBODY! This new kid on the block is PAOLO NUTINI and this is HIS music on My MySpace that you should be listening to now if you have speakers! This guy is a master! He is going to tear it up and be one of the all time greats in history. I am telling you...I can't STOP listening to his music...especially his "New Shoes" song!
How can someone this young have so much knowledge and I wonder if he even knows he has it? CHECK HIM OUT!
Movies
Titanic, Somewhere in Time, Pretty Woman, Dances With Wolves, Legends of the Fall, PAY IT FORWARD (should be required watching for all)!!!!! There are so many! Basically, I am a romantic dreamer and I beleive in the good of mankind and God, true love and miracles. So I like any movies that reflect those qualities.
Television
Little House on the Prairie, Highway to Heaven, Waltons, Oprah...etc. It's hard for me to think of them as I haven't been around alot of TV reception for quite some time. I usually live in the boonies...waaaaaaaaayyyyyy in the boonies! Oh...my new required watching on Sunday nights is "Medium".
Books
Think and Grow Rich.....Conversations With God...The Prophet.....and The Girl of the Limberlost are the ones that come to mind. I don't have alot of time for reading books....but when I do..they are almost always self help or spiritual.
Heroes
My Mom and Dad are #1. My beautiful daughter, Rose...Immortal_Rose on MySpace and grandaughter, KeghanMari'...also my private portrait photographer! I have 4 grandchildren...Valecia...age 22....Tiffany...Age 21...Grandson...Jordan....age 19...Keghan...age 10. I am spending alot of time with Keghan and teaching her art tricks and she catches on like a wildfire. Almost a photographic memory. Wish I could do that!
So many artists, photographers, musicians and even tattoo artists come to mind...it's hard to say. But...Michael Landon comes to mind and Oprah. Oh...and I just noticed that I haven't mentioned another one of the most influential people in my whole life and that is my dear sweet Aunti N! She is so awsome and at 72 yrs old is like a teenager still. She is the most perfect human being I have ever known...tho she hates it when I say that! I am really very close to all my family in my heart and I love them each and every single one! I am so blessed!

HI! Thanks for stopping by! I am Patti Jo and am a young at heart 57 year old artist/photographer/tattooist. My primary passion is painting and taking photographs...and people my primary subject matter. I also tend to do everything in the late 1800's and early 1900's and almost always Native American! Guess I was just born a hundred years too late!
..
I also have a long standing love affair with my camera! My grandpa Ed LeClaire was an incredible artist and photographer and I grew up inn his darkroom. He showed me lots of little tricks and I had a blast. I took photography in college and then went to work for Olan Mills as a traveling portrait photographer. I fairly recently discovered digital...about 3 years now and I am even more of a maniac with my camera than before. I could buy a house with all the money I spent on film and developing...and now with no processing or film...well...look out. Anyway...here is a fun slideshow of just a little corner of my world as seen through my camera. I hope you enjoy!

Aloft the wind I ride the night sky I see the world through a much different eye
Power, beauty Strength and grace I feel the spirits of ancestral space
Pride of herd Sisters and brothers I live ever watchful standing by others
A kaleidoscope of colors No two ever the same The short, the tall, the long of mane
I know the chance I know the fear I live on the edge for death crouches near
On my back I carry a load Through storm and calm Ever vigilant and bold
I have died in battle Killed by man Hunted by predator as I roamed the land
No more room Not enough grazing Captured, shot, sold by pound on bills of lading
Yet I survive Sometimes an insurmountable course I am feral, I am Mustang, I am Wild Horse
Please have a wonderful weekend my dear loving friend! Sending all the angels to watch over you. May the god above bless you and hold you dear, To his heart forever more. Thank you for being there!
Much peace,love and respect always,
John and Bobbi
I once saw and heard a wolf, was he howling at the stars; No, I thought that night, he's crying to the man in the moon.
He was sad about the death of his mate, caught in a snare; Lost forever to the Spirit world, never more to be seen or heard.
The Alpha Male once so proud, now diminished by his loss; Resorts to almost humanlike behavior, by offering up a prayer.
The pups she once cared for and fed, whimpered their soft refrain; Were now the responsibility of another, whom he might learn to love.
All the others in the pack joined in his song, understanding and sharing; In his mournful and eerie cry, once again pledging their loyalty to him.
Natures once proud and abounding breeds, slowly but surely diminished; by a misunderstood and uncaring law, that they were dangerous to one and all.
From the crest of that proud vantage point, a wolf prayer was shared; Reminding me and others when all seems lost, we can Cry To The Man In The Moon.
GREETINGS, I HOPE THIS FINDS U AND YOURS WELL AND GOOD. I WISH U WARMTH, PEACE AND HARMONY AS THE DAYS AHEAD UNFOLD. TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE MY FRIEND. I LOVE THE PICTURE IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD.
Dear Santa, I'm older But, still believe in you (At least, I believe in The things you try, to do).
Maybe, I can't ask for A Tonka, or, a train. (But, if you'd bring one of them You know, I won't complain).
But, what I really wish for Is a special present Love that can't be "returned" Once it has been sent.
Everybody needs a little And some, need a lot But, if you get a tiny bit You still know what you got.
So Santa, drop a little Under each Christmas tree Then, all will get a present From what it's 'posed to be.
And if there is no tree For the alone, and poor When you get, to their place Just, drop, a little more.
John and I want to wish you the best for the Holiday Season!! Your friendship is the greatest gift we could have been given and are so thankful that you are a part of our lives! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Year's!
Have a Wonderful day today! Please smile alot ,you are very special!
Thank you so much for another Day!
I listened carefully around me.
I heard a howl,
From a she-wolf,
I know what she said.
I understand what she's telling me.
She told me,
"No matter how far away you are.
Your family misses you and loves.
Don't forget that. Little one on the mountain,
Don't forget this please."
From then on,
Even though I'm far away,
I know you miss me.
They call you nature's majesty So mysterious, wild and free As I see your paw prints in the snow I ponder on the things you know You are so gentle and kind at heart How could anyone tear you apart I hear you at night howling at the moon To let your family know you'll be home soon As you search for food for the day I watch your little ones hard at play How could anyone think you are a beast When we are so much alike even to the least I want to show you how much I care For I will spread the word on what we share Your one great enemy is man I promise to you I'll help them understand
