Red Threat are amongst the last remaining representatives of the noble but doomed ginger gene (actully this is rubbish, the disappearing blonde gene story was a hoax, so get used to it, we're here to stay!). We're from Sheffield and can trace ancestors back at least to the Great Sheffield Flood of 1864, as if that matters!
Our music seems to fit into the rock genre but there's a bit of dance, folk and electronica in there too. Lyrical subjects range from the tyranny of evil men through to throwing your mobile phone into Ladybower Reservoir and to the importance of having your 9 portions of fruit and veg a day (yes 9, not this 5 portion chancer patheticness)
We enjoy the recording and writing side of things rather than playing live, but Rob has played a couple of acoustic gigs in Sheffield and may play more in the future.
La Folie are back in town again and we playing at the O2 Academy on Friday 11th of Septmeber! It's £4 a ticket and you get in to Transmission afterwards for free!
