About me: Tyler Woods founded Reduxion Theatre Company in 2000 with a belief in the power of theatre to teach and to transform. He has sought like-minded artists, some of which you will find on this website, and countless more to whom he owes a debt of gratitude, to take part in his journey to explore the human capacity for good and evil in a realm as old as humanity. We are devotees to the art of storytelling and are pleased to lend our hearts and voices to this age-old tradition.
We believe that Theatre can still make a difference. We believe that Theatre must strive to challenge and inspire. And above all, we still believe storytelling and community is imperative to the human condition. We know that our patrons are ready for a journey of passion and intelligence, and we are ready to provide that experience every time we set foot on that most special arena, the stage.
Because theatre still matters. Because the human spirit is fragile. Because the unexamined life is not worth living.
So I was recently asked to direct this year's "Shakespeare on the Troll" show. Go ahead and guess what it was... go on... guess... give up? OK, here's a hint, you asked me to come out to New York to audition for it.
