the red water revival formed in early 2006 by five friends out of a mutual love for aural experiments, meteorology, and volcanoes. these individuals found solace and potential in a tapestry of sound that made them both uncomfortable and excited. andrew j (guitars, vocals), j hall (drums), rebecca p (bass, vocals), and daniel h (vocals, guitars) have all been meandering through the midwest music scene for many a moon, and decided to create a new brand of pseudo-conceptual psychedelic blues rock in the veins and aortas of the artists of the past, present and future. both prolific and nonsensical, the red water revivals take on rock music falls in that grey area when youre not completely awake, and not exactly sleeping and then a demolished boat crashed through your rooftop and the pilot asked you for telephone wire. the noise of the tornadoes giving birth and the alley cats sharing a whiskey over discussions of public radio programs. clever victory and jealous defeat tied into one hard to swallow euphoria funeral dinner. no weak hearts, no dogmatic revolutionaries, and certainly no children. you forget what you believe and come join our circus...
FIGHT HUNGER: WALK THE WORLD 2008 Sorry about the late notice…but this weekend is a global event, a walk for hunger. This organization called CARITAS has these Millenium Development Goals, and one of them is to eradicate hunger by 2015. So, this walk will be to raise funds to help feed more kids in the world and move closer to this goal. It’s gonna be from 1:30--4:00 on the parish grounds of All Saints. It’s totally donations, so you don’t have to like, find a sponsor or something. We’re hoping for as good of, if not better than, the turnout we had last year. So bring friends, family members, whoever…it’s gonna be really fun and hopefully we’ll raise a lot of money. You can find more info about this global event on this http://www. movingtheworld. org/walktheworld website. I hope you come!! Shalom!!
