The Red Wellies- A new CD of traditional Irish fiddles and Bouzouki, it that rarest of recordings that combines superb musicianship, great feeling, and a rock solid sense of rhythm and style. Fiddlers Beanie Odell and Duncan Wickel, and Bouzouki player Vincent Fogarty have made a wonderful debut CD that will be enjoyed by any fan of Irish music. They may not be known yet outside their mountain home in North Carolina, but their music is in a league with the very best of Irish traditional music.

Hey Vincent! Send me your phone number or e-mail address if you would. I have been through several phones the last few years and have lost your info. Will you be at Swannanoa this year? We should have a Foley fest! CHeck out my page for the track "The Morning Star reels" which features the zouk, and I did a new video featuring the Foley that you might get a kick out of. Hope you are well!
Jack 'o the Wood this Sunday (1/18)? I spoke with Pat Sky yesterday and I think he'll be there. Oh, and Kent (whistler) will more than likely be coming with me - if he can get it by da Missus :)
I spoke to Duncan 6 months ago about the possibility of having ya'll play out at Duckpond in Brevard. Right now, I may have something slightly different on the slate and you'll have to tell me whether it might suit you. We have been interested in having Sean Nos singer Geraldine Bradley come over from Ireland to do a show at our place and perhaps a few other concerts or festivals in the area around that time. She expressed an interest in this, but thought she might need to find some accompaniment--bouzouki or fiddle--once here. You guys came immediately to mind. Also, Richard Beard from Celtic Winds has e-mailed me and told me he would like to have her as a featured guest on the show. Anyway, what do you think? Check out her myspace, as she is definitely one of the best Sean Nos singers I have heard. The link for that is: www. myspace. com/geraldinebradley I'll leave you with a nice bit I just uncovered in my ongoing project to edit and archive the video and audio from our summer series. Hope you like it. Nick ..
What an amazing show! Thanks so much for playing at The White Hart. Hanging on the porch was fun, too. Just let us know when you want to come back to the 'Burg.
Hey Beanie! I'm over in Scotland wandering around. Got you on my IPOD and I'm learning new tunes...and playing golf...and I changed my banjo head. I won't be blinding anyone anymore. Check out the Scotland pics!
oh Beanie! I miss playing with you so much!!!!! You sound great as always! I'm so impressed with Duncan who was just a little dude last time I saw you. Wow. Thanks for getting in touch! There's some tunes I still play that I think you may know the name of... and do you remember that hornpipe in c that we played after the D minor one???? I've been trying to remember that for years. You showed me that the night I met Bert - remember? We finally got married last year. It's so good to hear from you! - Aisha
