It's late Saturday night
in the youth of your mind
you're parked in a blue '59 boredom
when down the strip
your best girl and six full moons
come motoring for the setting sea
the radio's on playing their tunes
everybody's dancing in their sleep
they're opening red willow wings
laughing throats and crying strings
running smooth gaining speed
the left rear door is open
the invitation's unspoken
the ride's guaranteed
wow!....so good to hear this music again!...brings back memories from a time to never forget. thanks for the add!....and Barry and johnny palomino, if you're out there, stop by and say 'hey'
Red Willow! Thanks for adding me. My sister got me into your music back in the 70's. Saw you a couple times at Nemo.
Actually, Brad, a few comments below, is a good friend too, as he and a couple other band members from Platte Valley Special band, used to crash on our couch in St Onge SD when they played the Salloon #10 in Deadwood when money was short. My wife also knows you from The Fireside Lounge at the Western Mall in Sioux Falls, plus her parents hired you for her birthday at Swan Lake SD. Great music then, and now.
Hey There Brothers... I fondly remember good times and making music with you for many years in good ole'South Dakota land and I miss you all so much. Nemo 79' is forever ingrained in my heart and my memory banks what's left of them. Thanks for being the blessed souls you are. Rooty Toot Toot For The Moon....
Thanks for the add. You guys are truly an amazing outfit! Oh, that I might travel back in time to see you in the hey day of RWB! My Dad has told me stories about your shows in the late 70's and early 80's and seeing the footage on PBS a few weeks ago was a delight!
Your an inspiration to all SD musicians and I want you to know that your music is being rediscovered by a new generation here in Sioux Falls! We just love ya!!! Cant wait for the September reunion!
