Redwire Native Youth Media Society is a grassroots group of Native youth based in Vancouver, on Coast Salish Territory. We run a free, (nonprofit, noncommercial) uncensored magazine entirely by and for Native youth. We exist to give Native youth a forum to express ourselves however we want, and be heard. The magazine comes out 3 or 4 times a year and is distributed across Turtle Island. Check out www.redwiremag.com to see the archives.
THIS MAGAZINE IS FOR AND BY YOU. We're always looking for Native youth submissions of all kinds -- writing, art, news, photos, reviews, books or CDs to review, Native youth profiles, stories, fiction, opinion, and whatever you want as a Native youth to see in print. Email info@redwiremag.com. Tell your friends, spread the word.
Let's spread the word of rebellion and incite revolution with our intelligence and spirit.

ONE EARTH, ONE MOTHER, ONE HEART
Our decisions are as strong as the diversity of voices heard
Once the borders between our communities were marked with the natural boundaries of mountains, water bodies, trap-lines, and rock formations. Inter-national agreements were marked with ceremony, marriage and war. At a time when our Mother Earth needs our unity so that we can defend her from greed and abuse, many of us are living in mixed communities all over the world.
How can we be sensitive within the Native movement to the differences between Indigenous cultures and avoid pan-Indianism?
How can educate and work with allies?
How can we build on our respectful relationships with people from all races, genders, colors, and abilities?
What examples do you know of people coming together and working to acknowledge privilege, colonization, and healing so that we can move forward?
