Red Wood Rising was created in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the year 2004, by musicians that wanted to make music that was honest, music that affected people in a full spectrum of ways, and finally music that they believed in.

John Kitchen wants you to join their band in Rockstars, a game where you can form bands with your friends and play gigs, battle rival bands, and become famous on MySpace!
Happy New Year RWR ! Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it truly entered into our hearts yet, what marvelous works God has in store for 2009. May we all be poured out as a drink offering to Him this year, for His glory & His kingdom! Grace & Peace from Sandy

It's going good! I was just checking out Relient K's myspace. They're coming to Tulsa on Dec 13th, you know. Congratulations on winning a battle of the bands again! I do want to come to Tulsa again soon and hear you play.
I saw you guys at Soulfest this year twice, and I have to be honest in saying you were fantastic. By far one of the best bands I saw there. A lot of the time, I feel weird about Christian music, being that it's so narrow in subject and lyrics, either a straightforward "I believe!" song or "I've lost my way" song. I'm not trying to say this about every artist, but it's a common theme, and I was pleased to hear your music and find it deeper than most. The music in general was fantastic, but your songs have this incredible depth and beauty I rarely find in music. I truly the hope the best for you guys, thank you for the music.
Congrats on winning the Back to School Battle of the Bands. You did an awesome job! Over 800 items and $190 in cash were donated to YST. Thanks for your help!!! ~ C
Thanks for not one but TWO wonderful evenings. I'm liking ALL the music you have here. Questions and Doubt is underrated, lot of passion in that song :-) Time for a new blog, hey?
