Reed's Bass Drum (Jonah Parzen-Johnson, Noah Garabedian, and Aaron Ewing) performs music through the lens of a jazz tradition that cannot be ignored, and with a genuine interest in creating something that will be considered an innovative contribution. Whether performing their own compositions or music from the jazz repertoire, Reed's Bass Drum has an original sound that flows through everything they play.
Jonah Parzen-Johnson is a New York based baritone saxophonist. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, Jonah was surrounded by rich traditions contributed from sources as varied as the AACM and Chicago Blues and Jazz scenes. Since moving to New York City Jonah has performed at venues including The Blue Note NYC, The Jazz Gallery, and Smalls Jazz Club, and with musicians such as Randy Brecker, Lenny Pickett, Jon Hendricks, Wallace Roney, Joe Lovano, Ralph Alessi, Kenny Werner and Brian Lynch.
Noah Garabedian began playing the acoustic bass in high school. In September of 2003 he entered the Ethnomusicology department at UCLA. Throughout his undergraduate years he won many scholarships including a John Coltrane National Scholarship in 2007. He participated in the Music Outreach program between UCLA and the Los Angeles Unified School District, and was also selected as a finalist for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz graduate program. In Los Angeles he played with such musicians as Kenny Burrell, Stefon Harris, Benny Green, and Clayton Cameron. Noah has recently begun a Master’s in Music at NYU.
Aaron Ewing is a New York based drummer. He has performed with Brian Lynch, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Ralph Alessi, and many others, in some of New York's most famous venues for jazz, including the Blue Note, Small's, and the 55 Bar. He has also performed internationally with artists such as Lenny Pickett, George Garzone, and Jean-Michel Pilc. Aaron grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. His talents have been recognized through scholarships and awards from the North Arkansas Jazz Society, the Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Society, and Music Fort Smith. In 2005, he was selected to perform with the Collegiate All-Star Jazz Ensemble at the IAJE South Central Regional Conference. Aaron recently completed an M.A. in Jazz Performance at New York University, where he also served on the faculty. He plans to continue teaching and performing throughout the New York area.

We Are Whole In Christ!
2 Peter 1:3
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
1 Timothy 4:8
For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.
Any time is a good time to confess the wonderful things the Lord has done for you. In Christ he's shared with you everything for life and Godliness. Whatever thing you commit to do in Christ will be done for you on earth as it is in heaven in the spirit of sonship which is a position not a gender. BE BOLD and GENEROUS for the Lord is that for you. Know the Lord, and meditate on him always in every fashion he has designed for you. Think outside the box, because the Lord is not confined as many may believe. He is free...and has made you free in him. Remember our God, the maker of everything we see and don't see has taken up residence in you, and given you his awesome promises and love. Beautiful peace, savory wisdom, Christ righteousness, joy and His inexhaustible fervent love to you always! Go and be the success you are! Otrie
Matthew 7:24
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
