Coming from the Seacoast of New Hampshire, Reef blends blues, jazz, jam and a mix of hip hop to define their own sound. Their sound is different from most bands because of the different variety and blends of all their influences. Reef is a movement, having a good balance between their instruments. Their sound is very definite and is very easily to move your feet to. The beats and rhythms make the audiences groove and dance, they just can’t help it.
The band originated out of a garage in Stratham in 2005 during a summer jam session. Then they knew that they would share a musical relationship playing in unity.
Since the summer of 2005 the band has had impact to the seacoast music scene. In the summer of 2007 Reef won the Stratham Fair Battle of the Bands on July 26th. The next day they were honored to play before the Stratham Fair Pageant. They have had numerous gigs in Portsmouth NH, such as First Night, Market Square, Summer and the Streets and various Farmers Markets.
They’ve preformed at the Stratham Concert Series for a number of years as well as October Fests held at Stratham Hill Park. They have played at Yankee Homecoming and a significant amount of road races around the seacoast area. They have organized benefit concerts raising money for Hurricane Katrina victims. They’ve raised money for the Stratham Fire Department as well as the Police Department.
Reef’s influences include John Scofield, Disco Biscuits, Phish, Grateful Dead, John Mayer, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, and Soulive. Their influences help blend all music from opposite sides of the spectrum to a sound of unison and joyful music. To visit the official website go to www.kennybrothersband.com

Hey, that place we told you about that we wanted to play at we won't ne playing there. Bands have to rent the big hall which is $500, sign a contract, and there will be cops there too. There's a church right near where we live. Bands we know and bands we've played with have played there. So we'll try that church. If you guys get more shows this summer and have any openings please tell us. We havn't had th best luck getting shows this summer.
There's 2 places where we live that we're trying to play at. One of the places is good to play at except it costs $250 to rent out a small hall. but ryan's grandfaher is a member there so he's gonna talk to him and see if we can get a discount. we'll get back to you on that. can you think of any places?
Ahhhh. I wish we could. We're going to be in the studio mastering the last song of our EP... Keep us posted though, especially if it's down here in MA it takes me an hour to get up to NH...
