Reegal Beegal is a unique group, blending influences of Reggae, Ska, Jazz, and Funk. Founded and formed in 2003 by drummer Chris Garufi, Reegal Beegal has been making a name for itself in its home base of Westchester County New York and in the Tri-State area. A major aspect of Reegal Beegal’s sound is heavy doses of improvisation. While this group should not be labeled a jam band, it does leave much room for a liberal musical exploration. Drawing heavily from the Reggae and Jazz genre, Reegal Beegal creates new styles and forms with their original music. Each individual in Reegal Beegal brings a different musical experience, style, and knowledge to the table and that is a big reason for their unique sound. Open-mindedness to music in general allows Reegal Beegal to synthesize their influences to form their sound and carry their ideas and expressions. From instrumental odysseys to catchy vocal tunes Reegal Beegal will open your mind and keep you dancing.
