Reelblack/Syncopation is a full-service film and video production company dedicated to creating and promoting "good movies 'bout Black Folks."
Based in Philadelphia, it was founded in 1999 by award-winning filmmaker Michael Dennis (a.k.a. Mike D.), a graduate of both NYU Film School and The American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
In addition to writing, producing and directing. Mike curates and hosts an ongoing screening series called REELBLACK PRESENTS, which promotes "discoveries and rediscoveries in African-American film."
A compilation of Michael's award-winning short films, THE REELBLACK MOTION PICTURE MANIFESTO was released in July and is available exclusively from the Reelblack.com Shop.

If you've got a movie made by or starring Black Folks, please send it my way. We're currently seeking work for Season 5.
