Ree has been working on a few tracks over the past couple of years, slowly developing her musical skills by practicing guitar, drums and more recently the bass.
She is also learning production/recording techniques at Kidd Studios...
Ree has a pocketfull of trinkets she is presently playing about with in the studio and is busy writing/jamming some new tracks too.
Ree writes lyrics when she is inspired. Writing songs has become a refuge for her..a path she is happy to have found.
She has also been involved in some collaborative tracks (as her alter-ego 'Drumgirl') with 'Heavyman & Edgmonkey' on their project, 'Darkmannaz' producing ambient breakbeat/drum and bass.
This project has thus far been studio based, but now Darkmannaz are going to start afresh and write some tracks to take out live.
Ree has also contributed backing vocals for 'Tractor Countdown's' album 'Shedworks' and the forthcoming 'Dust Diaries' album.
Ree has entered 'THE PEOPLES MUSIC AWARDS' for 'The Best female solo artist' and the 'TripHop/HipHop/R&B' chart ... PLEASE COME AND VOTE!!

"This one is a quiet stormer, with reflections of Morcheeba's and Dido's best bits, It's a fantastic track and Ree has taken it to the next level, with this enchanting melodic trip hop inspired track. One of our favourites at TPMA HQ"...(The People's Music Awards - July 2009)
"Haunting trip hop straight out of Brighton, perfect to lay back and immerse yourself in during the wee small hours or on a chilled Sunday afternoon.
She is self determined girl is our Ree – or perhaps she's a control freak - having already picked up the guitar, drums and bass, she is now moving into producing skills but it seems her hard work is paying dividends.
Influenced by Portishead and Kruder and Dorfmeister, she also writes her own lyrics and has even collaborated with this week's double winner Heavyman - there must be something in the water Brighton"...(The Peoples Music Awards - August 2009)

Wotcha Ree, cheers for that. I like your sound and your influences and some of your top chums too! I bet you'd have liked Oom when they were together, a former trip hop act from Brighton.
Hiya ! What ya been upto ? Its been a while ! Hope your well and kicking. Our single "Shutterspeed" is out now ! this is what the source had to say about it
‘... emotional vocal renderings akin to a slightly annoyed Elliot Smith and the kind of anthemic sonic atmosphere that recent Editors alluded to but never quite attained.’
drop by and have a listen to the track on our myspace, if you like what you hear, please show the support and get yourself a copy. keep in touch
I was instantly very seduced by your song! It was an impulse decision to enter last night and then today i surfed through everyones music on it, surprisingly theres not too much crap! I Love lamb and Portishead, Moorcheba ect and your style is very mysterious yet honest and open like those artists. Me and Danny think its very well produced and I love your lyrics. If I ever come up your way I'd love to meet you and if your ever in London/ Guildford let me know! We could maybe sort each other gigs out in each others areas? see what we can do. Best wishes.
