GeneralI'm a mom now...am I still allowed to have interests? I am interested in preschool stuff now, my husband's music and of course, anything related to dogs.

MoviesThe Jerk, best movie ever! Also, anything else with Steve Martin...I also like all Chevy Chase flicks. I haven't seen a new movie in about four years...maybe longer. I know it's sad, but I just can't see spending the $$ to fall asleep anyway.

About me:
Visit my site at www.refinedcanine.com - I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT # 3010110) and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC # 308). I have been training dogs and their families since January 1997. I apply the LIMA Principle (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) to my training philosophy. My focus is on building strong relationships between each dog and his or her family, and keeping if fun for everyone! I was in the first group of pet dog trainers to EVER obtain a certification by passing a rigorous, standardized exam - the CPDT - in September 2001 (www.ccpdt.org). I regularly attend educational seminars, including those offered by Cornell University's Veterinary Behavior Clinic, Tufts University's college of Veterinary Medicine, Puppyworks Educational Seminars, The Association of Pet Dog Trainers and various local lectures; I have also enjoyed participating in educational programs with the training and zoology departments at Sea World Orlando. My business, The Refined Canine, LLC has worked with dogs at all levels of obedience, offering group classes, private lessons and behavior modification counseling. I am a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (www.apdt.com) and currently sit on the Board of Directors. The APDT is the largest professional membership association for people who train dogs. I am also a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (www.iaabc.org). I am an official presenter of the Dogs & Storks Program (www.dogsandstorks.com) and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Approved Evaluator. I have published several articles on various aspects of owning and training dogs; and I am a featured author in the book The Dog Trainer's Resource, The APDT Chronicle of the Dog Collection (©2006 Dogwise). I also volunteer with several local animal shelters and rescue groups. I live in West Haven CT with my husband, Matt (check out his page: http://www.myspace.com/digtunes ), our son and our two dogs (currently), both Chinese Shar Pei.
