In the last two days, I've heard these two GEMS. I'm thinking of cross-stitching them on pillows and giving them out as Christmas presents:

Do you think it's too early to put up my Christmas Tree? I want it to be Christmas...now. I need some freakin' joy, dammit. And I want to listen to Christmas music.
I couldn't resist. Called my dad and he thought it would be really fun, so he put me on speakerphone and we told my mother I'm joining the Coast Guard. She was eerily silent. Dad said she actually staggered back a few paces.
Just call me Lieutenant.
Oh, and re: the No Mind meditation question in my blog: isn't it sad that Buddhist monks meditate to achieve that on purpose when so many people we know seem to achieve it with no effort at all?
