_________ Song writer / M.C. , Reflectivenature (An up and coming
artist) had a lot to look forward to in 2008, but more to look foward to in 2009. His upcoming album titled "ILLDESCRIBABLE" is filled with creativity. In the opinion of the listeners and critics who have heard snippets, this is what Hip Hop should actually sound like. With such songs as "Urban Legend" and "With Out You", off of Reflects current mixtape (Hope You Enjoy/Fuck you if you don't), takes Hip Hop back to story telling which was made famous by such artists as Nas and Slick Rick.
But story telling is not the end of what Reflect has to offer. With such songs as "Raw Talent" , "I'm A Problem" and "What Y'all Want To Do", Reflect provides hard hitting and very witty punch lines. He also touches on the Idea of taking Hip Hop into its essence by confronting the element which plauges the culture (Lack of talent). He continues to show his ability as a true "Master of Ceremony."
Reflect was born and raised in El Barrio (another name for Spanish
Harlem). Son to Avel and Nacy Villanueva, Reflect had what you would call a typical childhood growing up in the streets of Harlem. Reflect's parents divorced when he was only seven years old , leaving an empty void in him
that would only be filled when he reached the age of fifteen and met his one true love (Hip Hop). Hip hop was and is his love, his life and his soulmate. Learning how to put words together by listening to his greatest influences , Rakim , Big Pun , Big L , Eminem , and his most influential
inspiration The Wu-Tang Clan (the group Reflect considers to be the greatest combination of M.C.'s who ever did it) has charged the twenty-eight year old artist to try to bring Hip Hop back to the masses.
