Nathan Lee and Damien Horne are once again joining forces, this time on Sunday nights, for Refuge at The Rutledge. Looking at these two, you would never think they would play a show together.
Nathan Lee is a combination of Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen, and has survived the Nashville music scene for 13 years. Along the way, he has achieved a Dove Award, national media attention, and way too many stories that his mother wouldn’t be proud of. He has continued to seek the truth and share it through his music. Not bad for a tattooed, tell-it-like-it-is piano player from Jersey.
Damien Horne is a modern day Bill Withers fronting a Maroon 5 band and does not let a show go by without doing his signature back-flip off the stage ... not what you would expect from an ordained minister who grew up in public housing with a single Mom and eleven brothers and sisters.
They met for the first time less than a year ago at a writing appointment their mutual friends set up and haven't stopped creating music together since then. Every Sunday night, they'll be pouring their hearts onto the stage to create an intimate show where the audience gets to relax, laugh, and let loose on the dance floor.
Joining them for some special shows will be Pastor Bob Beeman, the founder of Sanctuary International. Audience members of past Refuge shows may recognize Pastor Bob from his introductions of Nathan Lee and his piano playing on the old hymn duets that Nathan and Damien have opened shows with. Pastor Bob will be opening a select dates by bringing his inspirational message of love and truth!
Refuge at The Rutledge ... Music so good, you'll forget you have to go to work in the morning
