Ingredients and a Clever Hat.
I have given this much thought, indeed, too much thought but I have found, not in any particular place, certainly no place that can be illustrated on a map or drawn through the mind of a person using an instrument such as a pencil or pen, but I have found that all a person really needs are ingredients and a clever hat.
I have begun to, though in hindsight, as I was unaware, I began some time back, to explore the precise ingredients that drive what one does and may do. An ingredient is not necessarily an edible substance, as one may assume, but rather for the purposes of this exploration, an ‘ingredient’ is a component, working in tandem with other components to drive ones creative being.
Following discussions, often presided over a stout and quite often on a wooden Tuesday on wooden tables, with like-minded and great able thinkers, the ‘ingredients’ can be described as being that of ‘will’, ‘wit’ and ‘balls’. Different people may interpret the ingredients differently but the spine of the principle is the same. An exact definition of the ingredients is not necessary, it should be obvious and this is not the place to describe them as such a task may lose your attention.
But what is the use of a hat? A hat is most important. Indeed, no ordinary hat will do as it is essential that it is a ‘clever’ hat. Again, it is up to you to decide what such a clever hat involves. However, the hat must contain a conical feature, as a person’s thoughts must have room to roam in an area that is governed by the mathematical constant of 'pi'. I suggest a little research into the culture of ancient Greece to understand this.
Follow this pattern and success may follow. Of course, that completely depends on what you percieve success to be. No one person can proclaim to know what this is, however, a decision has been made and some great days await.
Hi Shane, thanks for playing at the launch last weekend. I really enjoyed it. Hope all is good with you and the mixing of EP is going well. Chat to you soon :-) Noelle
Hey Shane, I've just confirmed launch date for my album in Bewley's Cafe Theatre, Grafton St. on the 15th of March and was hoping you could do support for it. What do you reckon? Keep it live! Noelle
Hey there MySpace friend, this is one of those shameless cut & paste promotional video comments :D Please feel free to tell me to "get the feck outta that!" or use my profile for the same reason! Roy :)
Thanks Shane for the message, I'm glad you enjoyed the album. It is kind of symbolically released for me right now. I'm already hard at work on the next one. How did your gig go last Wednesday? I couldn't make it in unfortunately. It's good news Brendan will keep the gig running there. It's a very nice room. Thanks again and talk to you soon! Jude.
