I have been looking forward for quite some time now to the completion of my first CD project. "We Will Rise" (Track 3) began one afternoon in Ambato, Ecuador in June 2006 in view of the necessity of the mobilization of Christians toward the mission effort both national and international. That evening we heard a remarkable historical survey of spiritual awakenings. This song was taught and sung, and we prayed. After returning to the states, eleven more songs were written and recorded in Hattiesburg, MS, and now I take up residence in Louisville, KY a year later with the finished CD in hand. I hope you find that all of the songs are spurned from the enjoyment that is in God and none other for “there is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.” My only hope is that you might be encouraged in your walk with Christ and if that walk has not begun that Christ would begin a new and good work in you. In that thought I will leave you with the final chorus of the CD “City of God”: Here we journey pilgrim days On to Zion’s hills to play; March in faith we rise this morn, And Christ will be our song. --from "Pilgrim" (Track 12)
