Region77 was formed in Moscow (12.1997) by Alexander Ionov and Alexey Ekzich. Both well known in Moscow's post-punk community. In 1998 band recorded their first album "Azbuka Straha" (Alphabet Of Fear). Untill april 1999, Region77 played several gigs in Moscow. In september 1999 project collapsed.
In december 2007 Region77 was activated again by Ionov and Ekzich. Now they works on material for the new album...
Alexander Ionov (born in Moscow, 1976) - poet, designer. Author of most of texts and frontman of russian groups Karibski Krizis (1991-1998), Ogon (1992-1997), Region77 (1997-1999, 2007)
Alexey Slezov aka Ekzich (born in Moscow, 1974) - poet, musician. Guitarist and composer of several russian indie bands (Ogon, Region77, Ozhog, Banda Chetyreh, Vis Vitalis etc..) Was leader of project Zateryannie V Kosmose (Lost In Space) (1996-2006).
