    500,000 Oklahomans are at risk of going hungry every day.

    One in five children in Oklahoma is a risk of going to bed hungry every night.

    Oklahoma ranks among the top five states in the nation in food insecurity.

    The Food Bank provides enough food to feed 63,600 people each week.

    In the last fiscal year, the Food Bank distributed 25 million pounds of food. We serve more than 450 charitable feeding programs in 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma.

    Charitable feeding programs include: homeless shelters, soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, senior citizen centers, children’s programs, women’s shelters, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and mobile meal programs.

    For every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide seven meals.

    The Food Bank’s administrative costs are less than 4 percent.

.. Our mission is to help the charitable community effectively feed people in need.

Since 1980, the Food Bank has distributed 295 million pounds of food.

Forty percent of the people we serve are the working poor – a family of three with an average household income of $11,440 ($4,000 below the poverty level).

The agencies we serve are reporting a 20 to 50 percent increase in the need for services this year due to the poor economy and the rising cost of food and fuel.

Donate your time or resources today!

Hold a food drive at your work or school, or volunteer at the Food Bank!

Because of the work that volunteers do, the Food Bank is able to provide enough food to feed more than 63,000 Oklahomans each week throughout 53 central and western Oklahoma counties. Last year, 15,539 volunteers donated 47,424 hours of service, saving the Food Bank $725,000 dollars in labor!

    Hey, I hope you can make it out to our show on September 7th.     I know this is a lot to ask from you as my friend but, I would like to ask all my friends and their friends to ask all their friends to add us as a friend. My thinking is that as many we all can do more. Our food program is in need of a tractor and our country has many Hungry Americans. When they are more of us doing a little... there is LOTS we can do to Help Our Fellow Americans. Besides... it could be one of us next to have to deal with Hunger! When many do a little... there's not such a burden on just a few. Could you help us in getting the word out to all your friends and Help Us Help Feed the Hungry Americans in Need?
