Jesus tells us the most important commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is to “‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31) This is a love that permeates every aspect of our being - a holy obsession, a pure PASSION - observable to all.
We are committed to the Kingdom of God, more than any church (including Re:Hope), and to showing God’s love to those around us. Our allegiance is to Jesus and to doing whatever He asks, whenever He asks it, at any cost. Our DEDICATION to God is driven by our love for God and for the entirety of humanity. 1 Corinthians 13 makes it clear that unless love infuses our devotion “we gain nothing”.
Who decides what is true? We say, “God”. His point of view, not our own, is the starting place for TRUTH. After taking an honest look at the bible, if our thinking and lives don’t line up to what it says, we are to change. In fact, we desire our lives to be constantly changing as we become like Christ; integrating what we say we believe and how we live, so we become people who can do what He calls us to do.
