SKOPE CD REVIEW
Title: Reign Lee | Album: Broken Skylines
Hong Kong-based artist Reign Lee’s latest CD, Broken Skylines, is a tour de force of catchy alternative rock, passionate lyrics and a pop sensibility that make the entire disc a pleasure from start to finish. Ms. Lee’s insightful lyrics seem to be influenced by her well-traveled life. She was born in Canada and moved to Hong Kong as a child. Reign lived in America during her college years, spending time in New York, Illinois and Arizona. This blend of cultures, life experiences and diverse musical influences has converged to create an outstanding CD.
“Summer Faded,” the opening track of the disc, is an upbeat alternative rocker showing Reign’s flair for writing poignant lyrics and melodies. She’s also an accomplished guitarist and it shows throughout the album. “Don’t Close Your Eyes” is another winner that hasn’t left my CD player in days.
The enclosed CD was recorded in Hong Kong, Washington, D.C. & New Jersey with several studio gurus, including GRAMMY® Award winner John Seymour. If you like songs that have something to say, conveyed by vocals that are warm and inviting, look no further than Reign Lee. www.ReignLee.com

********************************************************************************
Crashing guitars & soaring melodies provide the perfect landscape for Reign Lee’s haunting voice.
Recorded in Hong Kong, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., Reign was fortunate enough to be supported by an A-list group of musicians & engineers, including Grammy Award Winning Engineer, John Seymour at Treefort Studio (known for his work with Santana, U2, Dave Matthews, and many others), as well as renowned engineers, Robert Porter at Yellow Frog and Blake Althen at Human Factor.
Born on the outskirts of a Canadian town, Reign’s multi-cultural heritage has led her to traverse the world. Over the course of the years, she has lived, worked, and studied in Ontario, Alberta, Arizona, Beijing, Illinois, New York & Hong Kong.
In the summer of 2007, Reign was announced as the winner of the International Free Ride Music Contest. In the fall of that same year, she embarked on a 12-city East Coast tour of the US in support of her highly-acclaimed album, "BROKEN SKYLINES," which included a live appearance on the Tim Qualls show. Reign has since been a featured artist on Fearless Radio's popular program in Chicago, New Music Binge. She has also seen enthusiastic reviews & responses propel her to the top of the MySpace charts where listener's ranked her the 1 Alternative Indie Artist from Hong Kong. Reign has just released her brand new EP, "Holding Back the Beast" and is gearing up for a massive North American tour in 2009. She has received 2 honorable mentions in Bandwars, an Honor Award in the 11th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest, the Top Finalist honor in the 2007 Great American Song Contest and has been nominated for an Independent Music Award. You can listen to her award-winning songs - "Summer Faded" and "Burn" here on MySpace. Reign will soon be singing in a city near you.
Reign donates 10% of all music sales from her new album, "Broken Skylines," to Jimmy Lomax's Operation Santa Claus charity organization.
BROKEN SKYLINES CD REVIEW
from Ampliflier Magazine
"Everything old is new again. This Hong-Kong based, Canadian born, well-traveled (she’s lived everywhere man - see Johnny Cash) chanteuse has rendered a refreshing, no-frills guitar-driven collection that faithfully harkens back to the 90s alt-rock bravura of the Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Garbage, and Foo Fighters. Which means Ms. Lee delivers the goods, and then some. Guitarists Ken Able and Lee are a torrid twosome, spitting forth a kitchen sink’s worth of supporting riffs, harmonics, power chords, and feedback in all the right places. Five-stringed bassist Rob Struck holds the bottom firm (and low, low, low) whilst Kurt Wubbenhorst’s back-beat drives the songs through a brick wall. “Helena” is the obvious choice if you have to download one signature track - an anthemic melody mixed with sexual ambiguity never fails to please. For the more sensitive side of Lee, be sure to check out the ballad “Something About You” - Gilbert Halcrow’s overdubbed acoustic guitar leads and mandolin lines embellish Lee’s pathos perfectly. When it Reigns it pours…. highly recommended for fans of K.T. Tunstall, Fiona Apple, Gail Ann Dorsey and the like."

Reverse Psy. 101: Santiago Nightrain Here it is, the time has come for this little project to be released. Reverse Psy. 101 is something that can be taken or left alone, but I would suggest that everyone who has the opportunity to listen, should listen. Intrestingly enough, many of us do not listen anymore and push an agend fixated into our puzzled minds till division instills the enviroment with different opinions on approaching the matter. We are living history as I write this, as you live your lives, and as events occur and take more innocent siblings. The mind fuck we have endured is past trauma shock, and it's time to lyrically re-arange the entanglement into organized noise. R.P.101 is what it needs to be. Prenda, respira, and let go n.i.g.g.a's. My name is Santiago Nightrain. Kush! www.reverbnation.com/santiago7saint

Our new album "Herbarium" is
out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).
Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.
